Our Superior Bands
On Thursday, March 23rd, the Oak Grove Middle
School 7th and 8th grade bands returned from a
contest on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The three
bands representing OGMS scored an overall “superior”
in both categories (concert and sight-reading) of
the competition. This is the highest rating
available.
The 6th, 7th and 8th grade
bands perform at various activities and locations
during the school year including PTO programs,
sporting events, concerts, the book fair, and many
other school sponsored events.
If you would like a chance to
hear the bands, there are a couple of events before
the end of the year where our bands will be
performing:
