A Level 5 Celebration

On Friday, October 6th, all students
at Oak Grove Middle School celebrated a special
lunch in honor of our school being the number
two middle school in the entire state in the area of
achievement as well as being named a Level 5 school
again for the 2005-2006 school year. Even
three weeks out of school due to a hurricane could
not keep us from making our academic goals!
Our resident master chef and
principal Dr. Ben Burnett fired up the grill and all
teachers, staff and learners enjoyed hamburgers and
all the fixings outside all over campus on what
turned out to be a beautiful fall day. As a
special treat, the students were rewarded at break
time with snow cones.
Level 5 is the highest performance
rating available in the state of Mississippi.
Schools making the level 5 mark are considered
superior in academics. |
