A Regional Student Art Competition was held
Saturday, March 29th, at the HubFest Arts and Crafts
Festival in downtown Hattiesburg. K-12 schools from
the Hattiesburg area, Forrest County, Lamar County
and beyond were invited to participate. The theme
was "The Art and Soul of YOU".
There were several student winners from Oak Grove
Middle School.
Mrs. Broadus's Art Classes winners were:
- Grade 8 Line Art
- Stephanie Weiss - 1st Place and Best of
Show, $50.00 award. (Her piece was a Fantasy
Snake, decorated with her favorite designs.)
- Grade 6 Sculpture (These were Name Puzzles
decorated with their favorite things.)
- Marlo Steen - 2nd Place
- Miriam Ford - 3rd Place
   
Representing Lissa Ortego's Bristles Art Studio
were:
- Grade 8 Painting
- Elizabeth Lucas - 2nd Place
- Amelia Passer - 2nd Place.
