healthier, OGMS nurse Misty Cooper, RN, plans to
have a regular column in the Warrior Word. The focus
is on the top 10 brain foods for adolescents. (

- Salmon- essential for brain growth and
function
- Eggs- Helps memory development
- Peanut butter- protects nervous membranes
- Whole grains- nourishes a healthy nervous
system
- Oats/ oatmeal- makes our brains function at
full capacity
- Berries- my help prevent cancer
- Beans- keeps a child’s memory at a peek
- Colorful veggies- keeps brain cells strong
and healthy
- Milk and yogurt- preferred source of energy
for the brain
- Lean beef- helps kids stay energized and
concentrated
