Because Mississippi is known as
the “Fattest State,” a new State Law requires that
students in kindergarten - 8th grade have to do 50
minutes of physical activity each week.
Here at OGMS, students walk 15
minutes each day in addition to the time that they
walk going from class to class.
Here are some quotes from OGMS
students:
Samantha Papp,6th, said, “I
think it’s a great way to keep students active!”
Luke Smith, 7th, said, “I think it
helps get us into shape.”
Chelsea Smith, 8th, said, “I think
it helps us stay in shape and keeps us fit.”
